6/15/2010  14  Wild West Tour
For 25 consecutive years, South Central Ambassador Tours, Inc. (formerly South Central Rotary Youth Exchange tours) has offered travel experiences to Rotary exchange students to see the West Coast of the U.S. The trip is organized by a PDG with nearly 30 years of involvement with Rotary’s youth exchange program and a 1986 youth exchange student who is now a Rotarian.

Our philosophy is to spend less time viewing America from a bus window and more time on the ground experiencing culture, history and iconic entertainment venues of cities such as Los Angeles; San Diego; San Francisco; Las Vegas; and the Grand Canyon. All trips are chaperoned by responsible adults.

The tour fee of $1,975 for the 14-day trip includes all hotel housing, ALL meals, ground transportation and entrance to all sites visited. Students will be picked up at the arrival airport on June 15, 2010, taken to the hotel in Phoenix and are fully chaperoned by our volunteer staff, some with as much as 10 consecutive years’ experience, through their departure in Oakland on June 28, 2010.

Deadline for reservations is March 27, 2010. The required documents and list of requirements can be found at www.youthexchangetours.com. Questions can be directed to the tour director PDG Chuck Frazier or Angie Frazier at youthexchangetours@gmail.com.

7/1/2010  31  Discover America Bus Trip
The 34th annual bus trip around the USA will leave July 1, 2010 and return July 31, 2010. This trip is made available to Rotary Exchange students who have the means and desire to see the USA.

$2,125 per person for transportation, lodging, and sightseeing. Travel will be via deluxe air-conditioned motor coach. Lodging will be in hotels and motels. The READABLE, COMPLETE application must be received with first payment of $1,125, Insurance Card (COPY), and Exchange Student Card no later than April 1, 2010. Final payment of $1,000 is due by April 25, 2010.

We understand that this trip is a lot of money but a trip such as this at commercial rates would cost over $6,000 plus meals. Careful planning and 34 years of experience by Rotary volunteers have reduced the rate to the lowest possible amount. Despite careful planning there may be some inconveniences. We hope these are very few and that you will have an enjoyable, interesting and long remembered trip across the USA.
